This morning I was sitting in the bathtub thinking about the new year. Not resolutions exactly... more like what's been missing.

Maggie and I have spent years building things. Me with infrastructure, automation, the endless rabbit holes of self-hosting and AI. Her with art, design, the stuff that makes things actually worth looking at. We've accumulated a lot of knowledge, made a lot of mistakes, figured some things out. And most of it just... sits here. In our heads. On hard drives. In conversations that evaporate.

That feels wrong.

So this is us fixing it. Bee's Roadhouse is now a place online, not just a name for the house we live in. A Ghost blog... self-hosted, obviously... where we share what we're building, learning, making, and thinking about.

Here's the part that took me a while to get to: it doesn't matter if anyone reads this.

I've spent too long not sharing because I worried about judgment. About being wrong publicly. About whether anyone would care. But that's backwards. The value is in the sharing itself. If something we've figured out helps one person avoid a headache, great. If nobody sees it, we still put it out there. We still connected our little corner of rural PA to the bigger picture.

2026's goal is simple: stop hoarding what we know. Share it. Let it exist outside of us.

Maggie brings the art. I bring the infrastructure obsession. Together we're just going to document our lives... the projects, the experiments, the things that work and the things that absolutely don't.

Welcome to Bee's Roadhouse.
